2026 Opening Seminar Pre-Registration

Join SAML for our annual opening seminar! Participants can expect to learn about Student Academy of Musical Leaders its function and values, have a chance to meet their judges and volunteers for the season, be given an in-depth explanation of how competitions work and the expectations as a participant, and will have the opportunity to connect with peers prior to the start of the competitive season.
Registration includes:
SAML Branded USB
Complimentary Portrait Photoshoot (full band uniform required)
Introduction to Student Academy of Musical Leaders (SAML)
Overview of Conducting and Flourishing Updates
Small group break-out sessions for flourishing, conducting, and leadership development
Instruction from SAML Experts
Bonding with fellow students from across California!
Being part of the Opening Seminar is strongly encouraged especially for new participants.
