Join SAML for our annual opening seminar! Participants can expect to learn about Student Academy of Musical Leaders its function and values, have a chance to meet their judges and volunteers for the season, be given an in-depth explanation of how competitions work and the expectations as a participant, and will have the opportunity to connect with peers prior to the start of the competitive season.

Registration includes:

  • SAML Branded USB

  • Complimentary Portrait Photoshoot (full band uniform required)

  • Introduction to Student Academy of Musical Leaders (SAML)

  • Overview of Conducting and Flourishing Updates

  • Small group break-out sessions for flourishing, conducting, and leadership development

  • Instruction from SAML Experts

  • Bonding with fellow students from across California!

Being part of the Opening Seminar is strongly encouraged especially for new participants.
